Amazon new free returns add convenience but sending things back shouldn’t be too easy, experts say

“They don’t want to make returns too easy because then customers will drive up costs,” said Joel Rampoldt, a managing director in AlixPartners' Retail practice. “Returns are expensive. Not in the transport, but in what has to happen next.”
