GM sees custom designs, personal ownership for self-driving cars

Self-driving vehicles have long been considered the next frontier in the automotive industry, and many carmakers are looking to make a splash in the space over the next several years. GM and other early leaders in deploying self-driving cars, “will have the opportunity to take a lead in new business models that will drive their companies’ profitability,” said John Hoffecker, vice chairman of AlixPartners.
