U.S. auto sales put up a big number, but show signs of strain 

AlixPartners' Mark Wakefield says even though total sales rose in 2018, signs of halting demand were clear. While sales of small sport utility vehicles rose strongly last year, sales of most other types of vehicles were either down or up only slightly.
