Derrick has 15 years of operational, consulting, and transactional experience in the restaurant, foodservice, and consumer retail sectors. He focuses on improvements in operations and profitability across several areas, including strategic menu pricing, sales channel profitability, overhead cost reduction, store-level operations, new-business assessment, and financial modeling. Before joining AlixPartners, he owned and operated Papa John’s units as a franchisee and grew average sales to nearly $1 million while achieving 95% customer service satisfaction levels, and he was in private equity and investment banking on several restaurant and retail transactions.
