Wing has over 20 years of professional experience in providing financial consulting services for clients in industries such as consumer products, retail, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics. She has helped many clients achieve operational improvements, conduct turnarounds and restructurings, perform due diligences, and served in interim management roles.
Wing was previously a Managing Director at Accordion Partners, a consulting firm focused on the needs of chief financial officers (CFOs) at private equity-backed portfolio companies, the Group CFO of The Longreach Group, a private equity fund with investments throughout Asia, and Finance Manager at Onyx Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Amgen).
Wing holds a BA from University of California Berkeley and is a certified public accountant licensed in California. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
Career Highlights:
- Led teams of senior finance and accounting consultants working directly with both PE shareholders and portfolio company management teams in projects involving finance and accounting functions, process assessments and transformations, implementation of enterprise-resource-planning systems, and use of data analytics tools.
- Served as interim CFO at a managed IT and cybersecurity services PE-backed company; work included budgeting and forecasting, streamlining accounting and finance functions, monthly financial reporting, and cash management.
- Engaged by CEO and CFO of a $7-billion-revenue hospital staffing company to integrate the accounting and financial reporting functions of an acquired subsidiary; restructured business units; established financial report formats and cadence; oversaw budgeting; managed special projects to resolve legacy accounting and operational issues.
- Advised a PE fund with more than $75 billion in assets under management by setting up the finance function for a consumer products carve-out transaction; designed accounting organization structure; developed a Day One budget and value creation plan to support legal and operational entities; established a treasury and risk management function.
- Managed liquidity through build-out of 13-week cash flow models; negotiated financing options; worked with vendors to establish new payment terms at various distressed clients in turnaround and restructuring projects.
