Erik Dix, CFA, is a Senior Vice President based in Buenos Aires. He has over seven years of experience in damages assessments and financial, economic, contractual and regulatory analyses in the context of international arbitration and litigation. He has participated in more than 20 investment and commercial arbitration cases across venues including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and LCIA.
With a focus on Latin America, Erik is proficient in developing complex, customized valuation models to value companies, concessions, private equity, public equity, debt and other financial instruments.
Erik has managed and contributed to high-stakes disputes in a wide array of industries, including oil and gas, electricity, mining, transportation, financial services, sports, real estate and hospitality, and agrochemicals. Such cases involved investments in numerous countries in Latin America (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) and Spain.
His experience includes breach-of-contract and loss-of-profits claims, expropriation of assets, violation of fair and equitable treatment in state arbitrations, joint-venture disputes, and post-M&A disputes.
Erik holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires and is a CFA Charterholder.
