Sebastian guides industrial and automotive companies through complex profit transformations, strategic restructurings and operational improvement programs, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in consulting and industry up to board level, in R&D, Purchasing and Finance.

He designed, set up and led Mercedes-Benz' global “Operations and Value Enhancement” program, growing profitability from 6% to 14% within three years. As R&D-Board Member at Mercedes-Benz Vans, he was responsible for the EV powertrain (battery, e-drive, HV system), and as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions he built a global high-power charging network across Europe, the U.S. and China.

Sebastian was an Associate Partner with McKinsey & Company, and founder and Managing Partner of Mercedes-Benz Management Consulting, working closely with the CEO and Board on improving the company's profit situation and strategic restructuring. His project experience spans from holistic profit improvement, (direct) material cost reduction, purchasing transformation to growth strategies for OEMs, suppliers and low-volume/high complexity manufacturers in Europe, the U.S. and China.

Sebastian holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and ETH Zurich. He is a recognized speaker at CES, VDA, IAA and Reuters conventions.
