Charles advises companies in whole-company turnarounds and business transformations by providing clients with actionable strategic, financial, and operational advice. He has almost 15 years of international business experience, with a focus on creating and implementing restructuring plans by assisting management with business plan development and stakeholder management in crisis situations across a range of industries but with particular focus on financial services. He was formerly a portfolio manager at Mount Street Portfolio Advisers, supervising a team specialized in developing and implementing workout measures for nonperforming credit portfolios, which entailed taking on interim-board-level positions in the USA and Germany in postforeclosure holding structures. Prior to that, he was a director at EAA (WestLB’s bad bank). After university, he initially joined KPMG’s financial services practice and qualified as a chartered accountant before moving to the firm's restructuring team.
