Josh partners with clients to achieve rapid and sustainable earnings improvements during broad and complex transformations, applying more than 25 years of experience. He focuses on the Consumer Product and Packaging Industries while continuing to serve as an SME in Logistics.
He has helped clients generate more than $2 billion in value by addressing issues involving pricing, sales growth, customer profitability and strategy, and operational cost reduction in the areas of supply chain, procurement, and selling, general, and administrative expenses.
Prior to rejoining AlixPartners, he was senior vice president transformation at CEVA Logistics, where he drove earnings improvement to enable a successful initial public offering. Josh has also served as Acting Head of Integrated Business Planning for a Food and Beverage company, and Acting President and COO for a trucking and warehousing company.
Josh has been a speaker at investment banking and supply chain conferences and has been quoted in "Bloomberg," "San Francisco Chronicle," "Supply Chain Brain."
Key Engagements:
- For $2B global household and garden consumer products company, led Phase 1 cost reduction program across 3 continents worth €70M (€50M in P&L / implemented during engagement). Supported CIM development and identified additional €30-45M pipeline of opportunities which was communicated during company sale process.
- For a $2B packaging company, structured and led the program to identify and help capture $35M in sustainable earnings improvement opportunities. Workstreams included account profitability, supply chain, footprint optimization and org redesign In addition to hands-on execution, stood up integrated program management for key corporate initiatives. Additionally, Josh led growth strategy through to tactical execution with Sales and Marketing.
- Led broad transformation program for Logistics Company with large ground network that realized over $50 million improvement across direct and indirect labor, price increases, procurement, and network.
- Identified $200M EBITDA opportunity for large underperforming beverage company and developed business plan for creditors with improvements spanning procurement, manufacturing, SG&A, pricing and site closures. Also evaluated potential merger synergies.
- Co-led complex, global carve-out of 3 Consumer Product brands including the $80M value creation plan across SG&A, A&P, COGS, and Supply Chain.
- Held Acting President and COO role with Regional Trucking & Warehousing company. Improved EBITDA from negative to 10% of revenue then sold the trucking company to a strategic buyer.
