Kevin is a seasoned technologist with a focus on complex software products and cryptocurrency, who has worked with a variety of clients to address technical challenges in both public and private sectors. He is typically engaged when a review of technology infrastructure, application code, or data architecture is required, and has done so in a variety of commercial, regulatory, and litigation matters. Kevin has also provided expert testimony in US Federal Court and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre regarding computer programming and cryptocurrency functionality.

He advises management, regulators and counsel by serving as a "translator" between code, engineers, and executives. Among others, he has lectured at events held by the FBI, American Bar Association, AICPA, American College of Bankruptcy, American Bankruptcy Institute, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, ComplianceWeek, and the Bahamas Financial Services Board on the topics of programming and emerging technologies.

Prior to AlixPartners, Kevin worked as a cybersecurity principal for IBM where he supported the US Department of Defense and Homeland Security in designing, implementing, and operating cyber systems. He holds Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and Master's in Technology, Management from Georgetown University.

  • Testified as expert witness in the US Southern District of Florida during jury trial of a multibillion-dollar civil lawsuit over rights to crypto assets, opining on functionality of Bitcoin and computer programming (C++, Python).
  • Provided written expert testimony in S.D.N.Y on behalf of a crypto-native company, analyzing on-chain transaction activity to investigate alleged misappropriation of crypto assets.
  • Served as expert consultant and witness in a matter before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, opining on computer program functionality (namely C++, TypeScript, and Python).
  • In a regulator-approved role, led the technical evaluation and remediation of technology, compliance, and AML/Sanctions control issues at a high-tech crypto company.
  • Developed a novel software product privacy framework for a leading Big Tech company, to ensure alignment between program source code changes and executive expectations.
  • Engaged by Outside Counsel of a high-tech marketplace to evaluate cross-border dataflows and data governance controls.
  • Led an investigation in response to an FTC action, documenting the security operations and cyber systems at a high-tech company; served as technical advisor to outside counsel.
