  • Led the complete Operating Model transformation of a $35 billion global tech/industrial product and services group from a complex three-dimensional matrix to end-to-end accountable businesses with a Lean Corporate structure and $500 million annual net savings.

  • Four times interim leader of the turnarounds of the European, North American, and South American businesses of a $30 billion global high-tech and IT services company.

  • Redesigned core processes and developed and implemented a new, single cloud-based IT system replacing all legacy IT in a leading Financial Services company, achieving 26% productivity improvement.

Before joining AlixPartners, Markus held key leadership positions, including General Manager at a global high-tech and services company, with P&L responsibility for global growth markets. He led the strategic transformation from a regional setup to establishing global lines of business. Markus was the CIO in a globally leading Financial Services player and was the founder of a mobile phone application startup. He began his career as a consultant with A.T. Kearney, where he developed his skills in operational performance improvement and strategic advisory.

Markus holds a diploma in industrial engineering from Hamburg University of Technology, providing him with a solid foundation for driving operational excellence and innovation in today's dynamic business landscape.
