Scott is a Partner is our London office and has been a forensic accountant for over 25 years.  During this time, he has predominantly been based in London but has also had extended periods working in both New York and Tokyo.

Scott’s experience covers numerous industries.  In particular, Scott has worked on a number of cases related to distressed banking (and the decisions made by governments and regulators), IT implementation failures (and the associated lost profits/benefits and additional costs incurred) and shipping.  Scott has also worked on various different types of claim including lost profits, warranty claims, accounting treatment disputes and valuations.

Scott has experience in a variety of dispute forums, including the High Court and international arbitration (e.g. ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA). In particular Scott has been appointed as an expert in the High Court and in ICC arbitrations and has given evidence in two separate arbitrations.

Scott has also undertaken corporate investigations in numerous countries such as the United Kingdom, Japan, India, the United States, France, Germany, Poland, and Austria.

Scott studied Physics at Edinburgh University, graduating in 1998. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  Prior to AlixPartners, Scott was with forensic accountants Lee & Allen Consulting Ltd in London.
