AlixPartners strengthens Digital Partnerships and Platforms team with new Partner & Managing Director, Johnny Lee

NEW YORK (February 29, 2024) - AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, today announced that Johnny Lee has joined as a Partner & Managing Director in its Digital Practice. He will be Global Head of Technology Innovation and Platforms, leading and accelerating AlixPartners’ technology capabilities. Johnny brings a successful track record having founded and led teams at Silicon Valley technology corporations and startups. He has a deep understanding of software engineering, AI/machine learning, and innovation. Johnny’s experience spans multiple industries and service lines, with expertise in financial services and retail. He is based in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Johnny served as the Head of Global Engineering at Bain & Company, where he led teams of digital, advanced analytics, software, and enterprise technology professionals. He played a pivotal role in building the firm’s technical capabilities and in helping clients transform their technology strategies and launch innovative digital solutions.

Johnny's career highlights include serving as the first Chief Technology Officer at Tala, a mobile financial platform powered by advanced AI to help unbanked users across multiple geographies gain access to credit. Earlier in his career, Johnny served as the CEO and Co-Founder of Spotsetter, a personal search technology startup acquired by Apple. He held engineering leadership roles at Apple, where he launched machine learning solutions that service the Apple ecosystem, including Siri, CarPlay, Maps, and Search across the world.

Johnny holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, an MBA from INSEAD, and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He holds 19 technology patents.
