Burak has ~25 years of combined consulting and industry experience, specializing in operational performance improvement and large-scale transformations. He works extensively with Private Equity (PE) investors, portfolio companies, and corporations to accelerate value creation and deliver sustainable results.

As a leader within AlixPartners’ Private Equity and M&A and Transaction Advisory service line, Burak brings deep expertise across the full deal lifecycle—including pre-sign due diligence, pre-close planning, post-merger integration, and divestitures/carve-outs. He focuses on helping his clients unlock differentiated returns and generate cash to support future strategic growth.

Burak serves clients across a broad range of sectors, including Automotive, Industrial Goods, Professional Services, Business and Consumer Services, Healthcare and Technology.

Prior to AlixPartners, Burak was with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised clients on strategy and operations. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Samsung Group in South Korea and Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler) in Europe, with a focus on sales & marketing and engineering/product development.

Burak holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. He is fluent in English and Turkish, conversational in Italian and Spanish, and has basic proficiency in Korean.

Career highlights:

  • Led spin-off of an $8 billion division of a $20 billion Global Tier 1 Automotive supplier. Identified and eliminated $100+ million of stranded costs from Corporate G&A functions, and designed a fit-for-purpose Target Operating Model that enabled efficient scaling of the Remain/New Co, leading the path to higher market valuations and TSR
  • Uncovered $75 million / year cost synergy opportunities through integration of two mid-sized industrial goods companies. Brought in by the board after deal closure and set-up and lead the IMO to govern and drive progress toward execution of synergy targets
  • Headed legal and operational carve-out for a leading online real estate auction company with ~$500 million revenues. Setup and led the Separation Management Office (SMO) for all corporate functions and provided a clear transition path to separation
  • Steered integration of two global entertainment technology providers and delivered $90 million in cost savings synergies (15% above initial plans) through an active Integration Management Office (IMO)
  • Spearheaded operational carve-out of a ~$300 million business unit of a private equity owned ~$3 billion global consumer and market intelligence company. Led the Separation Management Office (SMO), designed the Target Operating Model (TOM) and successfully supported the end-to-end transaction process
  • Drove carve-out of nonstrategic assets and transformation office (XMO) of a $7 billion global Health Tech SaaS company. Developed post divestiture target operating model, identified areas of entanglement, designed TSAs and delivered ~$400 million in total value creation across client’s global operations and organization; prepared a detailed roadmap for Day 1 readiness to ensured business continuity post close
