Torsten advises banks, (re-)insurance companies, and fintech businesses on the most consequential decisions in their performance, restructuring, and transformation cycles. He combines operator credibility, including a CEO role in regulated Swiss financial services, with quantitative depth across actuarial, risk, and finance disciplines. Clients turn to him when the analytical work has to survive challenge from CFOs, CROs, and regulators, and when the recommendations have to land inside an operating model rather than a deck.
He brings more than two decades of work across the risk, strategy, and finance domains, in operator and advisor roles across Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. He is a qualified actuary (Aktuar DAV) and was previously CEO of neocredit.ch AG, the Swiss marketplace lending platform, partner at True North Partners LLP in London, and a senior member of swissQuant Group AG. Earlier roles spanned banking, primary and reinsurance, and fintech, with consistent exposure to capital, cost, and regulatory transformation problems.
His engagement focus inside AlixPartners covers cost and balance-sheet performance for banks and (re.)insurance companies, capital-light operating model design, and the practical economics of digital and AI investments in regulated environments. He is based in Zurich and works across the German-speaking, UK, and broader European markets.
