Michael helps clients in the automotive, industrial goods and consumer goods industries to overcome strategic and operational challenges as well as restructuring and transforming their businesses.

He has worked over 10 years mainly in the automotive industry gaining international experience while optimizing global production and supply chain networks, improving shop floor organizations, implementing lean manufacturing, and designing and building greenfield factories. Michael provides hands-on consulting leveraging his deep operational expertise. He is co-leading the AlixPartners Operations Future Factory initiative, developing Lean Trainings in Virtual Reality. Recent projects involved carve-out support, plant relocations and closures, Target Operating Model design and implementation, operations shop floor process improvements and developing IDW restructuring reports. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he worked as a principal for Cimpress, the global leader in entrepreneurial Mass Customization.

Michael holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in Germany and an MBA from the University of St.Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.
