Yasushi is an expert in economic analysis with regard to regulation such as antitrust. He has almost 10 years of experience as a professional economist with involvement in economic research and merger cases in various industries. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was an economist at the Japan Fair Trade Commission. As a staff member of the commission's Competition Policy Research Center, he wrote several joint research reports on such topics as empirical economic analysis of the relationship between industry characteristics and cartels, and he was in the commission's merger division as an economist. Later, as chief investigator, he led the division's economic analysis team, reviewing merger submissions and planning and conducting economic analyses in major merger cases.
