Jose Tolosa was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Meow Wolf, a US-based innovative arts and entertainment company that creates mind-bending experiences through immersive and interactive storytelling.
Under his leadership, Meow Wolf expanded beyond its original locations in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Denver, launching new exhibitions in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and Houston, with additional sites in Los Angeles and New York City underway. Recognized by Fast Company as one of the "World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies," Meow Wolf is the only certified B-Corp in themed entertainment, a distinction it recertified during Jose’s tenure, blending art, technology, and interactivity across physical spaces, digital platforms, gaming, and publishing.
Previously, Jose was the Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer of ViacomCBS from 2019 through the end of 2021, and Chief Transformation Officer for Viacom from 2017 to 2019. Throughout this time he led the integration process for the merger of Viacom and CBS and led both companies’ transformation efforts to accelerate the evolution of its businesses and organization. Tolosa joined Viacom in 2008 and acted in several global business development and strategy roles over his 14-year career at the company. He spent close to 10 years working on Viacom’s international business ultimately becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2015, overseeing operations across 180+ countries. Earlier in his career, Jose held roles at The Parthenon Group, Bear Stearns and Co. and Claxson Interactive Group.
A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and creative expression, Jose serves as Board Vice-President of Ballet Hispánico, supporting the next generation of artists and cultural leaders. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, helping guide the school’s strategic direction and leadership development efforts.
A native of Puerto Rico, Tolosa holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.
