Lennard leads complex corporate turnarounds and accelerated transformations, frequently taking on senior interim roles to stabilize companies, restore performance, and guide stakeholders through stressed or distressed situations.
He brings more than 14 years of experience in restructuring and crisis-driven value creation, with a strong focus on corporates, mid-market companies, and private equity-backed businesses across Europe. Clients rely on his ability to take operational ownership in challenging environments, unlock value in underperforming businesses, and drive enterprise-wide transformation through disciplined execution, rigorous financial management, and structured governance.
Lennard’s expertise spans whole-company restructuring, liquidity and cash management, large-scale EBITDA improvement programs, organizational and operating model redesign, and the development of integrated 3-5-year financial plans. He has extensive experience navigating distressed scenarios, structured processes, and complex capital structures - including restructuring schemes (e.g., StaRUG procedures), lender standstills, and refinancing negotiations - while identifying and accelerating value creation levers across the business.
He has worked across a range of industries, with particular depth in Healthcare & Life Sciences, technology-enabled businesses, industrials, and consumer electronics. Private equity sponsors and lenders value his hands-on leadership style, ability to align management teams, boards, and creditors, and his track record of restoring stability, protecting enterprise value, and delivering performance improvement under extreme time pressure.
Before joining AlixPartners, Lennard worked in strategy and restructuring advisory, supporting corporate clients and investors on turnaround, performance improvement, and post-merger integration.
Lennard holds a master’s degree in Accounting, Organizations and Institutions from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a master’s degree in Finance and Investments from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
