Uli Brunner is an economist leading our German Economics Consulting practice. He applies economic analysis to support companies in critical situations. His analysis and expert reports are typically submitted to arbitrators and counterparties in disputes and litigation and to competition authorities in antitrust investigations.
Uli has 23 years of experience, with a subject matter focus on competition economics, cartels and commercial disputes, he has specific sector expertise in energy- and process industries, and a geographic focus on Europe. He has particular experience and a track record of success in serving as expert witness in commercial arbitration- and cartel litigation cases. Uli has received the Lexology Client Choice Awards for the category “Competition Economics Germany” in 2023 and 2424, and he is listed as in Who’s Who Legal as a National Leader in Economics (2023) and as a Thought Leader Economics (2024).
Uli a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Basel (Switzerland) where he wrote a dissertation on auction theory.
