Before the iMac was released 20 years ago today, lime, blueberry, strawberry, tangerine and grape were simply fruit or bubblegum flavors, not colors anyone would associate with personal computers. But there was Apple, years before it would alter the way we think about mobile phones, changing the way we think about monitors and keyboards. They placed a value on design that few, if any, computer makers had done before, and this played an important role as they expanded their success to eventually become the first US company to reach $1 trillion market value.
