Dr. Philip Wessely is a Partner & Managing Director at AlixPartners, based in Zurich. He brings more than 18 years of international consulting experience supporting global industrial and manufacturing clients with complex operational and value chain transformations.
Philip specializes in end‑to‑end value chain performance, helping organizations improve resilience, efficiency, and execution across procurement, production, planning, and logistics. His work spans manufacturing strategy, operational excellence, complexity management, and value chain digitalization, with a strong focus on delivering measurable and sustainable impact.
Before joining AlixPartners, Philip was a Partner at Kearney, where he led the Manufacturing Center of Excellence within the Strategic Operations Practice across Europe and served as a member of the Swiss leadership team. In Switzerland, his client work focuses primarily on consumer goods, life sciences, and food and beverage manufacturing.
Philip holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from TU Darmstadt. His global perspective is shaped by academic and professional experience in Europe and Asia, including time in Singapore and Shanghai.
