Nate has over 8 years of experience in consulting with a focus on procurement and supply chain transformation. He has delivered meaningful cost savings and improved operating models through strategic sourcing, should-cost modeling, and best-in-class category management. Over his career he has led and supported initiatives around Contract Manufacturing (EMS/ODM), Commodity Sourcing, and OEM negotiations. Prior to AlixPartners Nate was previously at Accenture as lead of the Electronics Center of Excellence, and member of the Direct Materials Supply Chain practice. His industries supported have included TMT, Automotive & Industrial, and Consumer Goods. 

Nate has an MS in Management Studies from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management, and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University.

Relevant experience:

  • Executed $3B Retail Payment Infrastructure enterprises’ Contract Manufacturing from EMS to ODM model resulting in $60M benefit over two years, and removal of $100M of inventory from the company’s books.
  • Directed an intensive should-cost modeling and design-to-value program to support a $5B cash-in-transit company’s direct negotiations with a strategic Smart Safe OEM resulting in $8M of cost savings and creation of a specialized scoped-down product.
  • Conducted process improvement exercise on $20M in equipment break-fix maintenance spend executing on $3M in cost savings from contract compliance, invoice audits, and sourcing levers to support rapid transformation funding.
  • Spearheaded direct material sourcing exercise for PE owned tier-1 automative supplier generating $4M in savings on $80M in production fastener, injection molding, and metal Stamping spend through best cost country sourcing and should-cost modeling.
  • Managed procurement transformation effort for multi-site MEP contractor bringing over 60% of spend under management of new procurement team and $5M in savings on electrical materials, temporary labor, and equipment rental categories.
